REDHILL

NEWS-LETTER MAY 2002
At
last Redhill Residents Association have their own community Hall, at the Old
Marlbrook School (just off Stanberrow Road) it is to be known as 'THE
GOLDEN JUBlLEE HALL ' this seems most appropriate, as it is the Queens
Golden Jubilee year. The keys were handed over in March, but the hall still
has to be furnished and have last minute fittings.
All
of this takes a lot of organisation and we are looking for dedicated volunteers
to help, also any useful items of Bric-a-Brac and good books will be very welcomed.
OPENING. The hall is to be opened on 4th June 2002 at 1.30pm by the Right
Worshipful the Mayor of Hereford; this will be followed by a Fun day incorporating
celebrating the Queens Golden Jubilee.
There will be various stalls, Fair Ground rides, a Pig Roast, Licensed Bar,
Raffies, Ices, Refreshments, Face Painting, Carnival Arts, if possible the Police,
Fire Brigade and Ambulance will be in attendance and hopefully giving small
demonstrations. There will also be sporting activities supervised by 'The co-ordinator
of sports England'. The Dolloway Dancers and the Red Crystal's will also be
performing and many other attractions. To finish off the evening there will
