The end of an era!

February 2008

PC Paul GREENWOOD and PCSO Shane JENKINS are leaving the Belmont local policing team on the 1st March 2008. Paul GREENWOOD is retiring after 30 years service as a police officer whilst Shane JENKINS is moving to another department within West Mercia Constabulary.

PCSO Jason MERRICK will remain on the beat and as of early March will be patrolling on the Belmont local policing team bicycle that was part funded by the community. He will joined by PCSO ALl LICQURISH who is moving from the St Martins beat. A new local police officer will be in post shortly.

Paul and Shane would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their co-operation and support over a number of years in the South Wye area.
The Belmont Community Pact meeting took place on 11th February 2008 and the three priorities were
1. Dog mess around Villa Street, Luard Walk area of Hunderton
2. Speeding vehicles in Beattie A venue and Hunderton Road.
3. Anti social behaviour involving groups of youths in and around the flats on Hunderton roundabout.
