But
since we set up the Association in January 1999, the new housing
department has been working with us to improve the estate.
Now we have more car parking, a play area for our children
and we are working towards a cladding programme for our properties,
which will make them more energy efficient and improve security
and appearance.
The
fundraising events that we organised have helped bring the
community together and provided a healthy bank balance, which
has enabled us to pay for more play equipment for the children.
We have also secured funding from the Environmental Fund to
provide a seating and 'hang round' meeting point for the teenagers.
Also
I would like to thank our Tenancy Support Officer, Richard
Hancock, for all the help, training and support he has given
both the committee and myself.
