Between February 2000 and June 2001 tenants have participated in the following training opportunities

* A national conference in Wolverhampton about housing stock transfer (8 tenants attended)

* Basic IT skills' courses at the Herefordshire College of Technology (up to 30 tenants have attended to date)

* 'Committee Skills' a specifically designed day-long workshop (11 Tenant Federation members attended)

* Presentations by Housing staff to the Federation on the following subjects:

* Renovations and Improvements Programme

* Rent Setting

* Allocations

* Stock Options

* New Managment Structure

* Housing Services Division - New Structure

* Resource Accounting

* Housing Green Paper

* Planned Maintenance

* Two tenants are undertaking the National Certificate in Tenant Participation course.

In addition to training, the Customer Involvement and Communication Team can set up and facilitate discussion groups to look at any relevant issues that are of concern or of interest to tenants:
