Looking to the future

"You've voted yes to transfer and said yes to improved homes and housing services for the future.

But now the hard work really begins. Over the coming months staff will be working to make sure all the systems are in place for Herefordshire Housing to take over the management of the Council's homes.

But please be patient, changes cannot happen over night. It will take time to get everything ready -

and we want to get everything right.

Throughout the transfer process we made sure that you, the tenants, received all the information you needed to make an informed choice in the ballot.

Now the vote has taken place Herefordshire Housing will ensure that you continue to be kept up to date.

Getting Ready for Transfer

A lot of hard work will be taking place in the coming months to make sure that the transfer to Herefordshire Housing runs smoothly.

Here are some of the things staff will be working on:

• Registration with the Housing Corporation which will carry out checks to ensure Herefordshire Housing will meet strict performance standards

• Finalising the funding for the transfer from banks or building societies

• Finalising the structure of the Board of management of Herefordshire Housing
