The 'Herefordshire Tenants Disability Group' is a group of Herefordshire Housing Tenants who qualify to be eligible as members because they have a disability.

The members meet and hold their monthly meeting on the second Thursday of the month at the Hereford Canal Road Day Centre, which is located in Canal Road, (at the junction of Coningsby Street).

The Canal Road Day Centre has the necessary access for wheel chairs, it is a relatively new buiding and provides a very pleasant atmosphere.

The group of members take a very friendly approach to the meetings, apart from the agenda for the meeting they enjoy a nice warm and friendly atmosphere, a cup or two of tea or coffee, a draw for a variety of prizes, and have a laugh and share a joke wherever possible.

From time to time the group discuss tenants disability problems, sometimes they could be housing issues or other matters, and work toward finding a solution wherever possible

In the past the members have enjoyed organised trips by minibus to a variety of interesting locations outside of the county, and are always looking for suggestions for new venues which will create interest to everyone involved. Any member is most welcome to bring along a carer with them on the trip if they require, the cost incurred for everyone is only a few pounds. Ocassionally the group will recruit a guest speaker who will give a talk on an interesting topic.
