MINUTES

1. Welcome and apologies.
There were nine members of the group present at the meeting. Plus one Guest,N Howells.
Apologies were given by, Jean Huff, Eileen Houghton, Amy Wooles,
Mr & Mrs. Stevens. Eva Burton, Wendy Jones. As Teresa was absent, Stuart as Vice Chair took the meeting.

2.
Guest Speaker. Nick Dubberly was to speak to us about the work of
The Herefordshire Carer's Support Group. Sad to say he was unwell, so
his place was taken by Margaret James. She gave us a very interesting talk on all that the group do, this was a surprise to some of the group. The most important point that she made was that anyone referred to
them would not be turned away, but would be given all the help that
they needed to find the best way forward to help them. At the end of
her talk Margaret gave out lots of information to the group.

3.
Minutes of last meeting. All the members had a copy of the minutes, after reading them, all agreed that they were a true record of the last meeting, and Stewart signed them.

4. Matters Arising. As there were no matters arising Stewart moved on to the next item.

5.
Treasurer's Report. Elaine told the group that she had spent some
time looking at accounts that would give us a better interest on the money that had been presented to the group at the last meeting. She
had been to a number of places but the best result was from The H.S.B.C where our account was already. She was given the go-ahead to arrange the new account by all members present. The normal account stood at, £696.80 £ 11 was raised by the raffle this morning.

6.
Any Other Business. John Griffiths told the group that the
arrangements for the Christmas Raffle were going ahead very well. He
was waiting for the license from the council and would then get the
tickets printed. It will be up to all members of the group to sell as many as they can. He had already got a number of prizes promised.
Stewart asked if the group should buy the items for the monthly raffle from the groups funds, the group discussed the idea, but decided to
leave it as it was for now. It was thought that perhaps the group should use some of it's funds to pay towards trips, this is to be discussed at a later date.

Dave told John Griffiths that he had forgotten the letter of thanks for the money that was raised by The Country and Western Groups. He said it had slipped his mind, but it would be done for the next meeting, (as long as I don't forget it again!! ).

Dave brought the group up to date re trips. Elaine and Howard were going to do the trip to The Cotswold Wildlife Park, as Dave has a family commitment on that day. He would miss his day out and hoped that all had a good time. Howard, Stephen and Dave were to supply next months raffle prizes.

Nigel was asked if he would like to become a member of the group, as he qualified. He told the group that it would be his pleasure. He was given a warm welcome by all.

7.
Date of Next Meeting. The date of the next meeting was the 8th of August at the Bulmers Room.
There being no more business, the meeting was closed at 11 :20 am.
