their forthcoming wedding.
The group wished them both all the best for the future

Jones, Jane Baker and David Morris.
2.
MINUTES FROM THE LAST MEETING
All members had received a copy of the minutes. They were accepted as a
true record of the proceedings.
3. MATTERS ARISING FROM THE LAST MEETING
Eddie told the group that the lights at Ballinger Court were on the improvement
programme. He was unable at present to say when the work would be carried out.
A bollard has been erected in the car park at Brierly Court. This is to deter
the parking of non-residents.
We are still looking at how we can clean the glass panels on the porches.
4. GUEST SPEAKER
The group had invited Gordon Shirley as their guest speaker. He did not
send his apologies.
5. SANDY ROGERS
Sandy
thanked members for its input to the Policies and Procedures on Anti-Social
Behaviour at a previous meeting. They had been very helpful.
Members were given draft copies of Herefordshire Housings Confidentiality Policy
and Vulnerable Adults Protection from Abuse Policy.
Sandy
went through the draft copies with members noting any comments that were made.
SUPPORTING PEOPLE
Members expressed their concerns over the security of some of the cabinets
that hold personal details of tenants. Not every scheme has an office and some
cabinets are in hallways or in community rooms.
Eddie said that he would be looking at options of getting the cabinets in a
secure place.
SHTUG
had received a letter from a tenant at Southgate Court, regarding her concerns
with the Sheltered Housing Tenants Support Plan. Eddie told the group that he
would be writing to the tenant and would send a copy of the letter to all SHTUG
members.
The question on the Support Plan asking your national insurance number has now
been deleted.
Eddie reminded members that if you are not happy with any questions you do not
have to answer them.
Members expressed their concerns with a question on the form for the control
centre. It asks for the tenant's weight. Tenants felt this was personal.
Eddie explained that he could understand why they need to ask this question,
but perhaps it could be worded differently.
6.
TENANT LIAISON MEETING
Members would like to say a big thank you to Pam Haskell. We have appreciated
all the time and work you have put in to the tenants liaison meetings over the
last few years.
PENYARD
GARDENS
We had a good turn out. There are still concerns that one tenant is feeding
the birds large amounts of food. This encourages rats. .
FOWBRIDGE GARDENS
We had a very good turn out. The main topic concerned the Supporting People
Plan.
7.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS
FOWBRIDGE
GARDENS
A
tenant has a hole in the roof.
Eddie said he would look into it
PENYARD
GARDENS
Grass on the scheme is only cut every three weeks. They are not picking
it up after the first cut and it is an awful mess. Grass left on the paths is
making them very slippery.
Eddie said they hoped to employ more staff, which would ensure regular cutting.
BRIERLY COURT
They are experiencing the same problems with grass cutting.
GUEST SPEAKER FOR THE NEXT MEETING
The group decided to invite Gordon Shirley to join them for lunch, and as
their guest speaker for the next meeting.
DATE AND VENUE FOR THE NEXT MEETING
The next meeting will be held at The Ryefield Centre, Ross-On-Wye followed
by Lunch. Those members who did not attend the last meeting and wish a lunch
please ring Jean on 01989 566042 as soon as possible.
Jean then closed the meeting.
