The gardening competition: We have had twenty-five entries and five of those have been from communal gardens.
"I visited a Housing Association in Nottinghamshire and I was very interested in the gardening scheme they have started. They have cleared all the rubbish and planted flowers in boarders and tubs. Now they have beautiful shared communal areas". Jean thanked Susana.

5. Treasurers report
We have £228:52p in the account. The draw for the dolls made £15. A big thank you to Innesfield Crafts Club for donating them.

6. Tenant liaison meeting
Brierley Court: A very well attended meeting. Problems concerning a dog has now been dealt with.

Innesfield: A Housing Officer visited a tenant who is disabled and having problems coping in their bungalow.

Fowbridge Gardens: Meeting went well.

Ballinger Court: Very good meeting. Work starts on the lighting in the car park in September. A sub group of tenants has been set up to discuss where the lighting is needed and also to discuss what they need in the kitchen. No start date for work on the kitchen as yet.

7. Any other business
SHTUG members expressed a wish that only invited guests should attend their meetings - with the exception of Eddie Clark. SHTUG members hoped that Eddie is now on the road to full health and looks forward to seeing him soon.

Innesfield: Is there any progress on the paths?
The new doors are expanding in the very hot weather. You have to wait for them to contract before you can shut your door. Members on other scheme's expressed the same concerns. Jean said she would bring it up at the service review group meeting with Tony Jones later this month.

Brierley Court: A ninety-five year old tenant, reported to care line that they had no hot water. The message was not passed on to repairs and the warden had to make a call. Recently when the warden was off sick, they had no visit from a warden and no call from the alarm service for several day's.

We have three tenants with mobility scooters and work needs to be done on the pavements to accommodate them. Also tenants are still parking on the pavements, making it difficult for scooters and tenants to negotiate them. Eddie promised to send out letters regarding this.

Southgate Court: Still no door into the kitchen.

Penyard Gardens: Many tenants are not happy with the way garages are allocated. Recently a couple who have only lived on the scheme for a short while were allocated a garage. Other tenants who are disabled have been waiting for many years.

Church Croft: Main outer doors are being left open. One of the tenants said they were having to shut them late at night for security

8. Guest speaker for the next meeting
Members suggested that we invite Theresa Smith, Community Matron as guest speaker for the next meeting

9. Date and venue for the next meeting
The next meeting will be held at Southgate Court on Thursday 3rd August 06
