1. WELCOME AND APOLOGIES
Jean welcomed all members present. One minute's silence was held in honour
of
Horace Walbyoff who sadly passed away. He was a valued member of our group.
In his memory the group sent £20 to The Red Cross.
Apologies were from: Lily Halfpenny, Peggy Cavanagh and Douglas Green.
2. MINUTES FROM THE LAST MEETING
Jo
Amscombe did not receive a copy of the minutes.
Ballinger Court is to have its boiler replaced not repaired.
3. MATTERS ARISING FROM THE LAST MEETING .
Eddie
told the group that there would be no weekly visit from a warden at Elm Grove.
We just haven't the resources at the moment. Tenants from that scheme will not
have to fill in a Supporting People Support Plan.
Parking problems at Brierly Court and Barklie Court. At Brierly Court we are
looking at putting a lockable post in to stop unwanted parking. Barklie Court
is more difficult because the car park opens out onto the road. We will be talking
to tenants about this problem in the future.
Penyard Gardens. We are still trying to solve the problem with the street lighting.
Fowbridge Gardens. The parking lines are to be redone. We are still looking
at ways to clear the moss off the porches.
4.
GUEST SPEAKERS
Both Shirley Gordon and Jim Russell were unable to attend this meeting.
5.
EDDIE CLARK
SUPPORTING PEOPLE
Eddie once again reminded us that our wardens would be making an appointment
with us individually to complete a Supporting People Support Plan. Eddie explained
that you did not have to fill any part that you weren't happy with. We only
record what you tell us. Afterwards your warden will give you a copy. Each week
you will be asked to sign to say that your warden has visited you.
The
group expressed its concerns over the wording of the page headed DATA
PROTECTION ACT 1998. Members asked for a more detailed explanation of the relevant
bodies that would have access to the document.
Eddie informed the group that he would be meeting with Supporting People
the next day, and would be giving them feedback from the group.
6. TREASURERS REPORT
At today's meeting we have £238. 38p in our fund.
7.
TENANTS LIAISON MEETINGS .-
No members had attended a tenant's liaison meeting this month. .
8.
ANYOTHER BUSINESS
LONGMEADOW.
Problems with a noisy neighbour.
BARKLIECOURT
We did not receive a visit from a warden on Tuesday? -
Eddie to check why there was no visit.
INNESFIELD
Eddie was given a list of poor workmanship at Innesfield.
FOWBRIDGEGARDENS
There is still a problem with the steps.
RUSHMEADOW
We have experienced a problem with anti-social behaviour on our scheme.
The anti-social behaviour team came and did their job. They have left the tenants
feeling that they did the job for the benefit of Herefordshire Housing not its
tenants.
BALLINGER COURT
Is
their any news on the lights at Ballinger Court?
9. REPORT FROM SUB GROUP
Our job is now finished on the sheltered housing tenants compact and handbook.
The sub group asked SHTUG if they thought that they should continue.
SHTUG unanimously agreed that the sub group should stay in place but only to
be used when needed.
10. GUEST SPEAKER FOR THE NEXT MONTHS MEETING
It was agreed to ask Gordon Shirley to the next meeting as guest speaker.
